Your Next Step...

Following an initial visit, you would be asked to complete an application form and invited to attend a training course.  You are under no obligation to go ahead if you decide fostering is not for you at this stage: it is our aim to give you all the information you need to make whatever choice is right for you.  Similarly, we may  feel that your application would not be successful at this stage and, if so, we would tell you the reasons why.

The full assessment process takes approximately 6 months to complete and it is important to be aware that Criminal Records Bureau checks are required for all foster carers and household members and for regular visitors to your home.  Health checks and references are also taken up on all applicants.
